He could not sell the truth to save his life
They stoned him, disowned him and robbed him of life
He bought some hard truths with a hard life
You can not run from the sun by closing your eyes

They could not sell the truth to save their lives
It's like the whole world was watching but turned off inside
They found some hard truths in a hard life
The truth is whatever is left after the lies

Here in the gray zone between the truth and the lies

Well I don't know what it's like to live without lies
I found some hard truths lead to compromise

Feint left, attack right.
Keep your cards close to you chest.
It's only advertising.
It's the duty of the government to keep information from the public that would only cause them worry.
How many who sit in judgement of others could endure their own scrutiny?
When are facts really just convenience?
When will people see that dying for a belief is one thing, killing for a belief is quite another?
Lies. Useful lies, destructive lies, unknown lies.
Truths. Useful truths, destructive truths, unknown truths.

Factual acrobatics and feats of deceptive agility are as natural as the chameleons' changing skin and the salesman's lucky smile. But natural and difficult as it is we still must make our choices, carefully and with short and long term goals in mind. Deceptions may be a natural thing but we don't have to like them.
